Benmoji

Privacy Policy

Last updated April 29, 2026

The short version: Benmoji does not collect, store, or have access to any of your personal data or stickers. Everything lives in your own AWS account.

Your data stays yours

Benmoji is a self-hosted app. Your sticker packs are stored entirely in an Amazon S3 bucket that you own and control. The app connects directly from your device to your S3 bucket — there is no Benmoji server in the middle. We never see your stickers, your images, or anything you create.

No accounts, no sign-in

Benmoji has no user accounts. There is nothing to sign up for and no credentials are ever sent to us. The AWS credentials you enter in the app are stored in your device's Keychain and are only used to communicate with your S3 bucket.

No analytics or tracking

We do not use any analytics, crash reporting, advertising SDKs, or tracking of any kind. We have no idea how many times you've opened the app, which stickers you've made, or anything else about how you use Benmoji.

No third-party data sharing

Because we collect nothing, there is nothing to share. We do not sell, rent, or disclose any data to third parties.

AI image generation

If you use the AI sticker generation feature, your prompts and seed images are sent to OpenRouter using your own API key. This is a direct connection from your device to OpenRouter — we are not involved. Please review OpenRouter's privacy policy for details on how they handle requests.

Changes to this policy

If we ever update this policy, the revised version will be posted here with an updated date. Given the nature of the app, we don't anticipate meaningful changes.
